Our Best Baby Item So Far Is...

... well, Grayson will be two weeks old tomorrow. It's amazing how time flies, it seems like just a couple days ago we were headed to the hospital to get ready for him to arrive. People say all the time to enjoy this period because it will be gone before you know it. I didn't really believe that would be true, but it just going by so fast. Over these two weeks, we've had our ups and downs with sleep, fussiness, and just general baby stuff. I can promise you though that Devon nor I would trade this for anything.

All that said, we've had the chance to try out a few of our baby items while some are still waiting on Grayson to get a little older before he can use them. If I was to identify a top 5 list of baby items, in no particular order, used so far I would include the items below. I'll eventually get to doing a longer write-up on these, but for now it's time to choose what has been the best thing for us over these two weeks.

  1. Jeep Liberty Limited Stroller
  2. Safety 1st Clic Infant Car Seat Stroller
  3. gDiapers
  4. Leachco Podster
  5. Serena & Lily Market Baby Sling
Given all of these, the favorite and most useful so far has been the Leachco Podster. The Podster was a gift to us from Heather and Dave over at Twinpinions. From recent experience with their twin girls, they thought this was something we had to have. I was a bit skeptical at first, but I tell you what this thing has been awesome. Grayson just loves to hang out in it whether he is awake or asleep. Speaking of sleep, when we put him down in this he just looks so comfortable and this has become his default sleeper, whether it is on the floor, in his bassinet, or in the pack-n-play, it's where he sleeps. The Podster has been so great we are thinking about getting at least one more, just so we don't have to keep moving the one we have around the house.

So, if you have a newborn or are expecting a baby soon and you don't have one of these I can't stress enough how much you need one of these. If you want to pick one up, just head over here.

No More Rack

Have you heard of or tried out No More Rack? It was a new daily deal site to me and while they aren't offering anything for men today, they do seem to have a pretty good deal for women on American Eagle bootcut jeans. You can pick up a pair for only $14 and when you sign-up you should receive a $10 credit. I haven't placed an order yet, but I'm assuming that makes at least 1 pair of jeans $4. Hit the link below if you want to give it a look.

The Most Exciting Baby Items

So, Little Spyers is about a month away from arrival. As we continue our preparations, Devon and I both have our favorite things that we are looking forward to using. These seem to change every few days as we come across something new that we (or I) just have to have. For now though I think it's safe to say that our current favorites are:

Me: Boon Flair highchair
Devon: Petunia Pickle Bottom diaper bag
Combined: gDiapers

What were (or are) your most anticipated to use baby items?

A Change in Direction

Well, it's about that time again. Time that I sit back, look at my blog and realize that I haven't written much in the last several months. So, that usually results in me deleting everything and starting over... Done.

However, this time I have a new plan. I have a new idea for the basis of my posting that should give me an endless supply of subject matter. I've decided to turn Scrambled Thought into a reviews, ratings, and other types of random information site. You see, my wife and I are expecting our first baby in June of this year. With the pending arrival of Little, we don't know gender, we are constantly looking for and purchasing baby gear and supplies. Mix that with my desire to have the newest and coolest technology / gadgets and you have a very deadly not to mention expensive combination. I'm hoping that as I take the time to review some of our purchases, discuss some new items that I'm seeing hit the shelves, and also just provide general information I can become one of the voices and guides for not only the dads out there, but also the moms too.

Who knows if this blog will take off and we will one day join many of the other review and ratings blogs out there with giveaways, prizes, and fanfare. If we do, that's great for all of us. If not, hopefully this site will still provide some value to those of you that visit.

This new found "focus" doesn't mean you still won't get the random thought or topic, after all that's what Scrambled Thought is all about.
